Theme Restaurants In Hyderabad That You Can’t Miss

Hyderabad is arguably one of the most exotic and captivating cities of India. Down south, no other city can adopt or absorb the cultures as quick as Hyderabad does. People here love to eat and celebrate. And obviously, there are many restaurants around and some of them have very interesting ambiance, interiors and themes. We pulled out the list and it is quite thrilling than we thought!

Eatmor 70MM

Theme: Bollywood

eatmor-70mm_eEatmor is one of the creations by Ohri’s that will satisfy both foodies and movie buffs. People who are crazy about Bollywood and classic old Hindi movies will have a lot more than just food here. Walls full of Bollywood posters, red carpet, glittery crystal hangings what else you need for a filmy star-like dine? If that isn’t enough, they’ve re-created many iconic scenes with dummies and mannequins. Adding on to all these, the comic one liners about food tickles you. They serve spicy and tasty Indian food. Perfect place for food and fun for your whole family. It costs approximately 1500/- for two people. The gates are open from 12 Noon to 3:30 PM and again from 7 PM to 11:30 PM

Village

Theme: Rural India

village_eNo matter how many places tried brick-like walls, tents and copper cutlery, somehow no one got it as perfect as ‘Village’ does. This little place in Inorbit mall takes you back to the rural villages in many ways. It’s a pre-paid system and once you enter it is unlimited entertainment and fun. They have a fortune teller, bangles mela, Dhol performers, puppet show and a lot more that are not an everyday scene in cities. They have a gigantic spread of six different cuisines from all over India. It’s like a quick tour to a village far far away from this busy city life. The attention they give to people is an added personal touch. You can have all this just by spending around 800/- for two. This place is open from 11 AM to 11 PM.

The Grand Trunk Road

Theme: Dhaba Theme

grand-trunk-road_eProbably one of the finest theme restaurants in Hyderabad. The place is huge and grand, just like the name suggests. The moment you enter the place, every detail is just mesmerizing and so much fun. The trucks that are parked around, props, seating everything follows the main theme. The food is decent but fairly the ambiance gets more marks. Bet you cannot come out of that place without clicking some quirky selfies. Best place for family dines and friends’ day outs. Two people can have yummy dinner for around 1100/- (approx.).

Silver Metro

Theme: Train Coach

silver-metro_1Ohri’s constructed a fully functioning food metro while Hyderabad is still struggling with traffic problems caused by real Metro. Once you step in from the street, an escalator takes you to a subway station and everything there makes you love trains even more. You can pick tables inside the coach or on the platform. Not just the place but the food is quite happening too. People love it for its ambiance, wide range of Indian and Mughlai spread. For 750-/- for two, you can have a nice dinner followed by yummy dessert. Silver Metro is open from 12 Noon to 03:30 PM and again from 07:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Filmy Tadka

Theme: Movie Theme

A tiny, cozy and totally filmy restaurant in Shivam Road. The huge clapboard at the entrance creates such curiosity that can’t resist but walk in. The entire place is filled with film props and posters. All the while you will be listening to super hit movie songs from different languages. Ever wonder what would it be like sitting in a director’s chair? You can fulfill it here because that is where you’ll be sitting. The menu is also designed very interestingly with all blockbuster movie posters on a side. It is a pure vegetarian restro. Their food is lip-smacking for sure and adding to it, you can call the chef out, tell him your favorite ingredients and he’ll come up with an interesting dish just for you. Amazing, isn’t it?

Serengeti

Theme: Rain Forest

serangeti_eAnother Ohri’s creation inspired by the African Rain Forests. Their building in Road no. 12, Banjarahills is a 5-floor heaven for foodies. Especially this jungle theme restro in 5th floor. It’s not just a place filled with trees and bushes set-up. They’ve artfully placed dummy animals and forest like interiors everywhere. It’s fun and refreshing for both kids and adults. Taste, service and ambiance all at one place and just for 1200/- for two (approx.) It’s open from 12 Noon to 3:30 PM, and again from 7 PM to 11:30 PM.

Gufaa by Ohri’s

Theme: Dark Cave

gufha_eDon’t ask again. This is by Ohri’s too. Perfect recreation of caves with old classic Bollywood music is its specialty. They have arranged a husky dim lighting all over the place and the tiny water fall is just an amazing experience. Their Biryani is yummy and won’t let you forget it’s taste after leaving the place for a while. Going all the way to Basheerbagh is totally worth for this experience with your friends or family.

The place is open from 12 Noon to 3:30 PM, and 7 PM to 11:30 PM.

Theme: British Colonies

If Drama isn’t your thing and you prefer sophistication instead, then this is a place you’ll love. Very soft lighting, royal inspired ambiance and creamy subtle drapes make the place soothing and relaxing. You may choose your food from Continental, Thai, Mediterranean and Chinese cuisines. Their cocktails taste better when you get the outdoor seating. Amazing decor and variety of food choices makes this place preferable. It’s open for dinners starting from 7 PM to 11 PM.

Free Flow Traffic Bar

Theme: Traffic Stoppage

free-flow_eIf you are bored with the regular bars and lounges, this is where you should hang out next time. It’s a rooftop set up with a lot of interesting elements in the ambiance. They serve orders quickly and every item comes to you in a unique way. There is live sports streaming on a huge screen and they have the most fun karaoke nights. Gather your friends for this weekend and get stuck at Free Flow. It’ll take about 1600/- (with alcohol) for two people.

Nautanki Gali

Theme: Filmy Small Town

nautankigali-auto_eIf you are looking for a place that looks good and serves even better, this is where you should be. The place is full of Vibrant colors, desi decors and loads of nautanki. It’s been a relief in the robotic lives of MNC employees in Hi-tech city. The lunch buffet of 450/- + taxes (per person) is just value for money. Huge banyan tree, auto rickshaw and the colorful seating is just better than perfection. The place is open for lunch and dinner timings. Hey they serve alcohol too..

Sahib Sindh Sultan

Theme: Train Platform

sahib-sindh-sultan_eAnother Train themed restaurant but a lot different than the first one and special in its own way. Sahib Sindh Sultan takes you back to the 18th century, the British ruling era (But you’ll have full freedom in here). You’ll have option to sit on the platform and inside the coach. The restaurant is vibrant and bright. Along with the exotic Indian food, they serve a great variety of Anglo-Indian dishes. Don’t forget to collect your special meetha pan at the end. Openings hours are 12 Noon to 3:30 PM, and 7 PM to 11 PM.

The Pirate Brew

Theme: Old Pirate Ship

It’s a pirate themed gastropub. A newbie to this list. The whole place is shaped like an old pirate ship hiding on a rooftop. It is all about the pirates and their lifestyle on sea and on land. A quirky option for people who love night life and of course above 21. They have amazing drinks menu and your order hardly takes any time to reach your table. Their food tastes great too. The place is open from 12 Noon to 12 Midnight and happy hours are on from 4 PM – 8:30 PM.
